I had a great time welcoming hundreds of people to our Family Fun Fair at the Wheels O’ Time Museum in Dunlap.
Nearly 350 people joined us for the event, putting us just shy of the museum’s single-day attendance record. It was great seeing so many families exploring the museum, including plenty who were experiencing it for the first time.
Throughout the afternoon, families had the opportunity to check out everything the museum has to offer while also enjoying face painting, balloon twisting, informational vendors, and other activities. More than anything, I appreciated the chance to spend time talking with families from across the area and seeing everyone have a good time.
I want to thank the Wheels O’ Time Museum for being such a great host and helping us put together a fun afternoon for local families. I also want to thank Senator Neil Anderson, Representative Ryan Spain, and Representative Travis Weaver for partnering with me on the event.
We have plenty more coming up across the 37th Senate District. I’ll be hosting Legislative Session Updates in Port Byron on Aug. 31 and Chillicothe on Sept. 1, where I’ll provide an update on what’s happening in Springfield and hear directly from residents.
Then, on Sept. 18, we’ll be in Peoria for my Veterans Appreciation Program and Expo, an event dedicated to recognizing our veterans and connecting them with helpful resources.
Thank you again to everyone who came out to the Family Fun Fair. After seeing the turnout and all the families enjoying themselves, I’m looking forward to doing another one!
