As we’ve reached the halfway point of my Legislative Session Update Tour across the 37th District, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has come out to participate.
I’ve been incredibly encouraged by the turnout. Farmers, small business owners, teachers, parents, retirees, and residents from all walks of life have joined these conversations to learn more about what’s happening in Springfield and share what’s important to them.
We’ve had thoughtful discussions on a wide range of issues, including property taxes, the state budget, rising electricity costs, illegal immigration, data centers, support for individuals with disabilities, and yes—even the future of the Chicago Bears.
These meetings aren’t just about providing an update. They’re an opportunity for me to hear directly from the people I represent. Your questions and concerns help shape the work I do when I return to Springfield, and I truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to attend.
If you haven’t had a chance to join us yet, there are still a few stops remaining on this summer’s tour. I hope you’ll come out and make your voice heard. Additional Legislative Session Update Tour dates will be announced this fall after Veto Session!
