State Funding Announced for Infrastructure Projects in the 37th District
DIXON – State Senator Li Arellano Jr (R-Dixon) is excited to announce state funding for local infrastructure projects across counties in the 37th Legislative District.
“Projects like these are crucial to our communities,” Senator Arellano said. “By investing in local infrastructure, whether it’s sidewalks, bikeways, or streets, we’re improving both safety and usability. These improvements will not only make daily life easier but also help fuel local development and long-term growth.”
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is awarding grants to support the maintenance and improvement of well over a dozen major infrastructure projects throughout the district.
One of the largest projects receiving funding is Project ROCK in Dixon. IDOT is contributing more than $4.6 million toward the effort.
Sterling is receiving multiple investments, including nearly $5 million for improvements on West LeFevre Road.
The City of Ashton will receive $1.5 million toward their 2026 road program.
“These investments mark a strong state/local partnership committed to safer travel and greater accessibility across the 37th District.”
