Over the past few month, State Senator Li Arellano Jr (R-Dixon) made his way across the37th District to bring constituents his Legislative Session Recap Town Hall tour.
“I’m grateful to every resident who came out to speak with me,” said Senator Arellano. “These town halls aren’t just about updates; they’re about listening, learning, and standing up for what matters most to the people of the 37th.”
The town halls gave residents the chance to engage directly with the Senator, hear updates about the spring legislative session, and share their concerns on state and local issues.
Senator Arellano made stops in Dixon, Geneseo, Rochelle, and Chillicothe.
Common concerns raised throughout the tour included rising taxes, continued state funding of abortion services, the lack of meaningful ethics reform, Illinois’ broken pension system, and the need to better support the state’s agriculture industry.
Senator Arellano looks forward to more opportunities to meet with residents and keep the lines of communication open across the 37th District.
